Peter Scholtes

Kelly Allan Associates, Ltd. has been the point of contact for consulting and speaking on Peter’s behalf since 2000. Due to ongoing health issues, Peter Scholtes chose to retire from active consulting and workshops in 2000.

Peter Scholtes, an internationally known author, lecturer, and consultant, passed away on July 11, 2009. Earlier in 2009 Peter knew his health was failing and he asked Kelly Allan to continue to help organizations implement the theories and practices of Peter's book, THE LEADER’S HANDBOOK.

From 1987 to 1993 Mr. Scholtes shared the platform with W. Edwards Deming, helping to educate corporations about the new philosophy of the Quality movement. He was one of the first to synthesize the principles of the organizational development field with the teachings of Dr. Deming.

Mr. Scholtes authored The Team Handbook and The Leaders Handbook: Making things happen and getting things done. In March of 1995, Quality Digest recognized Mr. Scholtes as one of the 50 Quality leaders of this decade. He was also the recipient of the prestigious Deming Medal (2006) and the Ishikawa Medal (2000) from the American Society for Quality.
